Hi! I am Lorna and my motto is so many books, so little time! When I got to bed at night, I have to have something to read, or I cant sleep. One of my earliest memories is of reading the entire reading book for first grade in the car when we moved from Michigan to Florida. I was 6 years old and totally bored the rest of the year because I wanted to read something else! I have read just about every genre out there, although not things like The Hobbit, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, or science fiction. Just have’t felt like they are my thing.
What I do like are the Twilight books and I can read them over and over. I guess I am a bit of a romantic at heart. I read horror and paranormal years ago and have just in the past couple of years started reading it again.
I like romances and paranormal romances, thrillers usually with a female main character. However, I do read a lot of James Patterson, John Sandford, and Michael Connolly.
I started doing reviews of some of the book I had read on Amazon, and find myself doing more and more of them. I dont want to write a bad review but if I just dont like the book, then I dont hesitate to say my opinion. My new favorite authors are Amber Lynn Natusch, Karine Halle, and Dannika Dark. Discovering new indie authors is fun! Other favorite authors include J.D. Robb, Susan Wiggs, Kristin Hannah, Samantha Towle, Janet Evanovich, Lisa Gardner, Tess Gerritsen, Alicy Clayton, and Iris Johansen among many many others.
On a personal note, I recently moved from Kentucky to Maryland. I live with two other ladies and three cats. I really dont want to end up a crazy cat lady, but I do love my cats! I retired about 11 years earlier than I should have but I love it. I have a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement with a Sociology minor that I never used and now I have no idea why I ever minored in it. I am 60 and still cant wrap my mind around that number. I still listen to contemporary music and I even like some hip hop, although not “rap”. I love movies and have all kinds of favorite television shows that I just HAVE to watch. I really dont want to be one of “those” old ladies-all prim and proper because that’s just not me.
