Good morning, everyone! Please join me in giving a warm welcome to a new voice on the Pure Textuality team!!! I am happy to announce that Gwen has joined our little family! Read on to learn more about her!
My name is Gwen, but I answer to almost anything. My family and close friends calls me Gwenny. My husband, son, and two dogs are my world. I have issues with people assuming things. Just because you don’t understand, doesn’t mean I’m wrong. This is nobody’s business, but I have a rare brain malformation. I guess that’s why I get mad when people assume things. Just because I don’t look sick, doesn’t mean I’m healthy. My mottos in life, treat others how you want to be treated, and you are given what you can handle.
I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I’ve always enjoyed escaping into a great book. I have more books than I will ever have time to read. My to be read list keeps growing and growing, at this rate I’ll have to live forever just to get caught up.
I enjoy reading almost anything. When I was younger I had an obsession with Stephen King. Then I moved onto the classics of To Kill a Mockingbird, Catcher and the Rye, and anything from Mark Twain. Then I went on a “this could happen” kick, anything that had a remote possibility of happening I wanted to read it. I can’t stand reading a book, then watching the movie, I’m always disappointed. Its funny, I can watch the movie, then read the book and have no issues though. I’m weird like that, lol.
What do I read now? I guess you could say, I’m a victim of Fifty Shades of Grey. I can’t say what hooked me, but since reading all three books (in one weekend) I haven’t been able to get Mr. Grey out of my head. Since then, I’ve read so many love, romance, erotic, and as my husband calls them smut books, its a wonder I see daylight.
I like everyone else have a few go to authors, it doesn’t matter what they write, I’ll read it. I’ve been known to reread their books, especially when I can’t find a new book to interest me.
I look forward to this journey, and will of course keep reading.
