INDIE AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: L.M. Pruitt (@lmpruitt)

L.M. Pruitt

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL and still live there.

How long have you been writing?

Not professionally, all my life, lol. Professionally, roughly three years.

What’s your genre of choice for writing?

I write mostly in paranormal romance, although I have one series that is crime fiction.

What’s your genre of choice for reading?

I read across a lot of genres–romance, urban fantasy, thriller, horror, young adult, true crime…I just like to read.

Tell us all about you and your writing!!

Wow–that’s such an open ended question, lol. Well, on the personal front I just turned 30 which hasn’t been as life-changing as people make it out to be. My friends still treat me the same and so do my cats–although the cats were always a little blasé about social nicities anyway. I’ve been doing some traveling this year–I went to New York City for the first time and I’m going to be visiting Atlanta for the first time in ages later this year. Next year will be even bigger, since I’m planning on taking my mom on a cruise for her 50th birthday (shh, don’t tell her–it’s a surprise). On the writing front, I’ve re-released two books this year and released two new ones. I’ll be releasing another two by the end of the year before spending 2013 focusing on a single series that I’m super excited about. You’ll have to stay tuned for more details on that later.

Any new releases that we should be watching for?

The latest book in the Jude Magdalyn series, Shades of Blood, hit Amazon and Barnes and Noble in early July. The second book in the Frankie Post series, Borrowed, will be available Labor Day weekend.
