T.G. Ayer (Tee)

Where are you from?
Auckland New Zealand, originally from Durban, South Africa

How long have you been writing?
seriously since 2010, but had the writing bug since I was 6

What’s your genre of choice for writing?
At the moment its YA paranormal and UF, but horror and fantasy are on the cards

What’s your genre of choice for reading?
Everything except Erotica 😉

Tell us all about you and your writing!!
I originally wanted to be Anne Rice! But my girls were 12 & 15 at the time and asked me to write something for them to read so I created a Norse mythology series featuring a modern day teenager who discovers she is a Valkyrie- good choice as both girls still Beta for me. I love that this series is about inner strength and that even in ones darkest moments there is always that little bit of strength left deep inside oneself that you can draw on to give you the motivation to put one foot in front of the other and keep moving.

Dead Radiance released in Feb 2012, Dead Embers is releasing Aug 2012 and Dead Chaos is expected to release in Feb 2013

My next series is an Urban Fantasy featuring the struggles of a girl who is a panther shape-shifter- its set in a world filled with magic and mystery but focuses on the struggle with identity that many kids experience as teens. And maybe a good few adults too 😉

Second Skin releases Sep/Oct 2012, and Skin Deep is expected early 2013

I am also currently working on the first book in a multi-cultural mythology series that I’m hoping to release by Christmas 2012.

Any new releases that we should be watching for?
Dead Embers is Book 2 in the Valkyrie Series releasing 15th Aug 2012
Second Skin is Book 1 in the Skinwalker series releasing Sep/Oct 2012- tbc
