INDIE AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: Matt Larkin (@MattALarkin)

Matt Larkin

Where are you from?

How long have you been writing?
Well, I started probably about the time I started School, so more than 25 years.

What’s your genre of choice for writing?
Fantasy, especially epic fantasy.

What’s your genre of choice for reading?
Fantasy in any sub-genre.

Tell us all about you and your writing!!
There’s the basics I always say: I read the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings with my parents when I was about six, started a life-long love of fantasy and so on. But that’s already in my bio and on my website. Instead I’ll say I always planned on big epic tales, but the scope and nature of the stories I wanted to tell vastly expanded after reading Dune (my all-time favorite series). I began to envision a cosmic struggle, and to blend it with real-world mythology. And from that grew a number of loosely related projects, among them the Skyfall Trilogy.

Any new releases that we should be watching for?
Legacy of Moon and Fire is the sequel to Children of Sun and Moon. It continues the story of the Skyfall Isles, but this time there’s greater focus on Malin and his side of things.

Do you have a website?  If so, what’s the link?

Do you have a Twitter?  If so, what’s your user name?
