Our Rating System
We have received a few questions here and there regarding our rating system here at Pure Textuality and how we decide what is “3 stars” or “5 heels” or “4 fangs”. All of the Pure Textuality reviewers use a basic 1-5 scale rating system. The “stars” or “heels” or “fangs” is just our own personal touch. The fundamentals of the rating system itself are the same.
The basics of our rating system are as follows :
| 1 | Didn’t appeal for several different reasons. |
| 2 | An OK work, but was found lacking in several aspects. |
| 3 | Well written and entertaining. |
| 4 | An excellent work, this would make a good addition to your library. |
| 5 | WOW!! A MUST read. |
| DNF | Did Not Finish (Books that we just couldn’t ride out to the end) |
That’s the nuts and bolts of it. If you ever have a question about how a book earned a certain rating or the review isn’t clear enough in explaining, you are always welcome to e-mail me. I would be happy to answer your question (if I did the review) or forward it on to the appropriate reviewer.
